Today I did something brave. (well, actually it was last night, but the effect became visible today) Something I rarely do. I said no. Ok, I did say more than no, maybe it was more of a ‘no more’, but it still was rare. And I hope this will help me control the chaos in my head. I used to be pretty quick with things, my brain could solve a puzzle AND read a book at the same time, so to speak. But apparently 2 pregnancies put an end to that. Or maybe it’s a small residu of pregnancy hormones? Don’t know… and I don’t know if I’ll ever get ‘my’ brain back. I need my brain to focuss on more than one thing at the same time, OR I need to have only one thing to focuss on. Since I cannot do the first, I chose to do something to have the last. I sent an e-mail to all my co-workers explaining what my life looks like now. Some may think I’m an idiot, some have already said WELL DONE (and they made me smile
), some may not care at all. I just hope it’s of my chest and out of my brain, so I can focuss again! Gosh I wish I wouldn’t have to focuss on so many things…
Ok, on to the next thing: another new release day!! Yes, you must have already heard: Elemental Scraps will from now on release new products on Fridays. What a great way to start of your weekend!! Here’s what I have this time (and it’s also Color Play weekend!):
Some of you may already recognize this, since it used to be part of a collab. Now available as mini-kit, Afternoon Daydream, and it’s on sale too!
A set of cardstocks and a set of interview pieces, matching Septembers Color Play pallette! I thought it would a fun idea to interview our children once a year, and document their favorites at that moment. If you like to do this too, you can use the interview pieces as jumpstarters! Color Play items will be $1 only the first week, then they’ll go up in price. Here’s your chance, happy shopping! I’ll leave you with some CT inspiration, and I’ll see you back tomorrow!
(btw: almost 600 fans!!!)

Maybe you knew, maybe you didn’t: I have a thing with numbers. Love them, I loved math in ‘highschool’ and it still is my favorite thing to teach. I see patterns in numbers everywhere, and ‘beautiful’ numbers can make me happy. Yes, there it is. You can all run away now.
LOL
So, I had to do something with that, right? I started with some HUGE numbers, came up with a matching kit and solids. Then I came across something called ‘inchies’. Have you heard about them? Check here and here for examples! I had to do something like that, so I created a pack full of 2 inch squares (see, twinchies
) and I still wasn’t done with this project! Let me just show you what you can buy:
Here’s the kit, at 25% off
Some solids to match, 25% off too!
A matching alpha, 25% off!
If you like it till now, you can get this in a small bundle (on sale too)
The huge numbers, on sale!
The twinchies, already embellished, on sale!
A set of styles, CU ok, on sale too!
And of course, a big bundle, on sale too!!
Remember the post with my goals a while back? Well, another thing about me is I love schedules and to-do-list too. So I of course created this layout with my goals:
(I have this in Dutch too, but since I blogged it in English, it seemed easier to scrap it in English too
)
I’ll be back tomorrow with some great CT inspiration! Thanks for looking!!

First of all: congrats to the 3 ladies that left comments on the last post, you all have coupons to get the 4 August Color Play goodies for FREE!
Second: here they are, in full bloom!
I was inspired by the lavender blooming in our front yard, and this months colors reminded me of that flower. Don’t you just love the smell of lavender?
So I created a solid and a patterned paperpack, with lovely purples, blues and a touch of yellow.
Off course, I had to pick some lavender and extract it. In fact, that little flower is still laying on top of my iMac, and sometimes I stop and have to smell it
An itty bitty alpha in 2 colors to complement, and when you buy all 4 packs (remember, $1 each, so you’ll save no matter what!), you’ll end up with this:
Now on to some inspiration!
Make sure you check out the other designer’s goodies as well, cause as you see in the layouts, it’s easy to mix ‘n match!

Yay, I got to participate in another Color Play at Elemental Scraps! I still feel like ‘the new kid’, it’s still sooo exciting hehehe. Lemme show you what I have this month (and the colors are YUM, let me tell you that!)
The primary colors inspired me to do a kit on the games Leonie and I play a lot. It has a matching paperpack too!
I also created a set of washed solid papers, to add to your stash of scrapping supplies. They will go perfectly with any other kit in primary colors and can be used for white space layouts (LOVE em!)
And last but not least: a fun little element pack to celebrate my favorite phone! Those of you that were lucky enough to get the new iPhone 4 can now scrap the occasion LOL.
All these packs are available for JUST $1 this week only! After that they’ll double in price, so make sure you grab them now! And check out the other designers too, they worked with the same swatch, so you should be able to get some sweet deals.
I also re-released a few more items from my past store, I think this was the last batch (but maybe I’ll reconsider some retirements LOL). They’re on sale today for %25, but I *might* be too lazy tomorrow to turn off the sale tomorrow… as I am too lazy now to put the images in this post. So if you’re curious, check my store! I’ll be back later, I’ll leave you with some CT inspiration:

I’m so glad I got to participate in Elemental Scraps Color Play just once! If you haven’t heard about it: designers create small packs of stuff, all available for just $1, using the same swatch. So this is your chance to build your own kit, by picking papers, elements, alpha, date elements, templates and other fun stuff!!
Here’s what I have:
I think this needs a little explaining: I have been decluttering my life. It started with getting rid of ’stuff’ out of the bookshelves. I mean, they are meant to be for books, right? Now they look like bookshelves again, and that felt soooo great. I just threw a lot of things away, things I always kept, cause I thought I ‘might need it once’. Well, if I thought that 2 years ago, and didn’t ‘need’ it in between, it has to GO! Than I took on the job of decluttering the attic. That isn’t done yet, but we really want to make a room out of it, so we’ll have to get rid of all the stuff that’s piled up there. Some things haven’t even seen daylight since I put them there when we moved in… 6 years ago! And by getting rid of all the stuff, saying to myself ‘do I really need that’, I found myself asking that about non-stuff too. Do I really need to work, while I can stay at home and play with the kids? Do I really need to ‘check my farmville farm’, while I could go out and play with the kids? I want to get rid of the unnecessary, hence this word-art pack! It comes with a solid paperpack too:
And a template pack to create your own wavy pages! Again, available for just $1 peeps, check out the rest of the goodies too! (images are linked)
